Dr. Sherry Casper, is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked with children and families with simple to complex challenges for over 21 years. Her core expertise includes child development, cognitive/behavioral interventions, developmental disabilities (specializing in autism spectrum diagnosis/intervention), traumatic brain injury, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). 

In addition to her work at the Center for Thoughtful Lasting Change, Inc. Dr. Casper teaches at San Diego State University in the Child and Family Development Department. 

Prior to establishing the Center for Thoughtful Lasting Change, Inc. Dr. Casper served as Psychology Consultant II - Autism at San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) for six years, where she oversaw all aspects of the provision of autism services provided in San Diego County by SDRC. Before arriving at SDRC, Sherry provided in-home behavioral and educational consultation services to families with children and adults with developmental disabilities at Coyne & Associates, Inc.  During her tenure at Coyne & Associates, Inc. she assisted in the development of the Infant Education Program for young children with autism and directed that program.  Sherry gained experience in the treatment of children with traumatic brain injuries while working at the May Center for Neurorehab & Education, in the Greater Boston area.

At present, Sherry is a member of California Psychological Association, World Association for Infant Mental Health (WAIMH), and the Association of Behavior Analysis.

Sherry attended SUNY University Center at Binghamton where she studied Psychology earned a Bachelor's degree in 1990. In 1993 she received her Master's degree in Psychology from United States International University in San Diego. She also attended Alliant International University, San Diego where she studied Clinical Psychology and earned a Doctorate degree in 2002.  In 2009 she completed the UMass sponsored Infant/Parent Mental Health Post-Graduate Fellowship Certificate Program, in Napa, CA.
